Read this and Know Me

"The one person who really knows me best says I'm like a cat, the kind of cat that you can't just pick up and throw into your lap. Yeah the kind who doesn't mind being held only when it's her idea. Yeah the kind who feels what she decides to feel when she's good and ready to feel it. Now I am prowling through the backyard and I am hiding under the car and I've gotten out of everything I've gotten into so far and I eat when I'm hungry and I travel alone. Just outside the glow of the house, is where I feel most at home."

Short introductions

I'm Brooke. I'm a 23-year-old who has a degree in Entertainment and Music Business Management. I work for Disney on Ice, so I'm in a different city every week. I love it. I'm open-minded, adventurous, independent, stubborn, and optimistic. I want a Smart Car and I love Nutella. Sometimes I listen to Country music...it's nerdy. I want to travel the entire world. Oh, and my imagination is incredibly vivid...I like to think that this world has endless possibilities.

The end.

To all the Scene Kids...

You're more punk, hardcore, mod, straightedge, emo, retro, and indie than me. Your hair is blacker, straighter, and sleeker than mine. Your pants are tighter, and you have more tattoos and piercings. Look at you with your Youth Large tee-shirts and girl pants. You have cooler pins on your messenger bag, and your favorite band is more obscure and underground than mine. You got your Converse Chuck Taylors way before I got mine. Your vocabulary consists of words like hxc, scene, stfu, and mainstream. You scoff at people who like mainstream music and call them corporate fucks who should burn themselves. You go to every show you hear about and cry at them too. You wear argyle sweater vests and buy clothes from thrift stores. Your glasses are thicker and blacker than mine. Your ears are gauged to a 00 and you know more people in bands. Because as we all know, that's what really matters. In a scene where the music has taken a backseat to the haircuts, you win and I lose.
